On Saturday, December 7, 2024 7:30 p.m., Ewashko singers will present a Christmas Concert with the Ottawa Children's Choir including Britten's Ceremony of Carols featuring Lucile Hildesheim on harp.

Ewashko singers' Fall 2024 season opened with a collaboration with Ottawa Pops Orchestra performing Hero of the Past, a symphonic journey through the beloved music of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. This re-orchestrated and expanded arrangement, originally composed by Koji Kondo and arranged by Alexandre Choinière, brings the game's iconic soundtrack to life with the full power of a symphony orchestra and chorus, featuring Latin translations by Olivier Simon.
October 5-7, 2023: Ewashko Singers appeared with Pops conductor Jack Everly, the NAC Orchestra, and soloists in The Best of Broadway.
December 7-9, 2023: We again joined forces with the NAC Orchestra, conductor Adam Johnson, and soloists in a production of the movie Home Alone in concert.
March 16, 2024: Ewashko singers presented a concert featuring Bach cantatas BWV 77 and BWV 147, and an exciting new work by Edward Enman, Tell me Again How to Mix Light.
May 8-9, 2024: Maurice Ravel's Daphnis and Chloé featured Ewashko Singers with the University of Ottawa's Calixa-Lavallée Ensemble, the NAC Orchestra and conductor Alexander Shelley.
June 1, 2024: Ewashko Singers joined forces with New Opera Lyra to present an afternoon of beloved opera choruses, solos by outstanding rising young artists and some audience sing-along.

Former conductor of the Vienna Boys’ Choir and Cantata Singers of Ottawa, Laurence Ewashko celebrates his 33rd season of choral activity in the National Capital Region. As a choral clinician, vocal coach and adjudicator, he makes a significant contribution to the quality and appreciation of vocal music in Canada and abroad.
A Full Professor of Choral Studies at the University of Ottawa, he conducts the School of Music’s two choirs. Laurence is a recipient of the prestigious Leslie Bell Prize for Choral Conducting and numerous awards from the Canada Council of the Arts.
Formed in 1992 for a live broadcast marking 50 years of Radio Canada International, Ewashko Singers has developed into one of the most flexible vocal ensembles in the National Capital Region.

Joanna Estelle was awarded the Gold Medal for Best of Show for her album Transmutation in the Global Music Awards categories contemporary classical and composer in December 2023.
One of the pieces in Songs from the Heavens (Svyatyj Bozhe) was also awarded a Silver Medal for Outstanding Achievement in the classical category in September 2023.
